When I saw the first season when the Jabbawockeez won, I was like – there’s no way they can top that! Yet, Randy Jackson somehow managed to come up with more challenging themes and they did indeed raise the bar!  Season 2 winners were Super Cr3w.  I loved their one performance when they danced to Lil’ Flip’s song and literally made a huge Megatron using the entire group (how creative is that??).  Season 3 … the finale was actually one I thought was a good faceoff between the theatrical Qwest Crew vs. the unique Beat Freaks.  Too bad the girls couldn’t take home the trophy, but Qwest deserved the title.

I know I’m not the only one who has heard of Bing.com, but have you tried it?  While listening to the radio on my way to work, I heard a lot of beneficial features on this site.  I checked it out myself and I like what I see.  Basically when you type in www.bing.com you will see that you have the option to search within popular categories such as Images, Video, Shopping, News, Maps and Travel (Basically the most searched items on the net).  I like that they promote themselves as a DECISION engine versus a SEARCH engine.

I also know how stressful it is to find the best travel deals.  I hate how I have to go on 6 different sites, write down the rates for the packages I desire, and then after hours of researching — come back to the site to find out the price frickin went up.  Well Bing will save you time and money with their Travel decision engine.  Just type in where you wanna go and it will search all the travel sites for you at the click of one button.  See for yourself.

So, in case you didn’t know about this MTV Reality show, it was inspired by the popular website Hot Chicks with Douchebags, Is She Really Going Out With Him? is a hilarious and compelling docu-format show that aims to tear down the mystery behind pop culture’s latest unexplainable phenomenon: beautiful and innocent young sweethearts who fall for self-absorbed, players/assholes.  In each episode of Is She Really Going Out With Him?  MTV closely examines one couple as our hot chick eventually leads herself towards making a fateful decision… Will she stay with her douchebag bf or move on to a better man?

I love this show because I see this EVERY day! I see so many girls who have so much going for them and they are stuck with losers!  The most recent episode I saw, this girl from Bronx, NY threw a BBQ Birthday Party for her BF and he had the nerve to invite OTHER girls to his party while EXCHANGING numbers with some random girl while his lady was watching! It get’s worse, the girl’s mom was at the party and saw EVERYTHING!  Of course he denied everything and blamed it on his girlfriend, saying, “Why were you just watching, why didn’t you come up to the girl and say, ‘Hey, that’s my man you’re talking to?’” Ummm… are you serious???? Next episode airs today at 4:00 pm.  I’m sure you can catch a re-run sometime later than that! lol.

WHY DO YOU THINK THIS UNEXPLAINABLE PHENOMENON IS GOING ON?  How do you get it through your girlfriend’s head that he is a no good nothing dog?!?! Please tell me.  (btw, reminds me of the show Tool Academy on VH1 – which I thought was entertaining)

Wait no longer, the highly anticipated Season 2 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is premiering July 30 at 10 pm ET/PT (That’s 9 pm for us Chicagoans).  I’m looking forward to it.  Saw some previews and looked like Kandi (fr. Xscape) was snappin on these b*tches!

Who was your favorite housewife from Season 1? Me personally, I LOVE Lisa.  And, noooooo, it’s not because we have the same name.  She’s cute, she’s a good wife, mother and business women.  She is just a well-loved, well rounded woman!  FYI, did you know that she is Keith Sweat’s ex-wife? They had two kids together.  Sources say that Sweat did not want to broadcast his children on the show.  That’s why we never knew!

So my girl Davenda is a professional make up artist.  She works at a well known make-up store in Downtown Chicago so she has wide exposure to different brands of make-up from over the counter to professional make-up.  I love how she does make-up on herself whenever we go out.  She also does make for photoshoots and clients at her job.  Working as a make-up artist/consultant in a location downtown allows her the opportunity to apply make-up on ALL types of faces.  She will be introducing her Beauty Tip of the Week shortly.  Make sure you check that out when it comes :)

Cohabitation – Shackin’ Up before Puttin’ a Ring on it!

So I read this article from National Healthy Marriage Resource Center and they said that the number of couples moving in together before marriage has increased from 35% in 1975 to 60% in 2001 – that’s almost double.  Rates for cohabitation among American couples is on the rise.  Surprisingly, the article also states that males are more favorable for cohabitation versus females.  I was shocked by that statistic – oh, then I remembered – they can get the “goodies” at any time and more frequently this way … lol.  The article also stated that “Research has shown that couples who co-habit prior to marriage have less stable marriages and are more likely to divorce than couples who did not co-habit prior to marriage.”

I don’t know about this one.  On one hand, I would want to know what my future husband would be like if we were to live together so I would WANT to move in before marriage.  On the otherhand, marriage symbolizes a level of maturity and commitment (for those who are serious) so I feel like getting married first would be the big step — and then moving in together would fall into place.  WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?

 So for my brother’s graduation dinner, my family and I ate at Hoanh Long.  It was the second time that I’ve been there.  Being that I am Vietnamese, I am fully aware of what AUTHENTIC Vietnamese Food tastes like.  That night, we ordered spring rolls and egg rolls for appetizers, a fish soup called canh chua, fish in a crockpot, salt and pepper pork, and the infamous Pho dish.   I came back to this place for my b-day with the girls and we were stuffed and SATISFIED.  You need to try the Papaya Salad! I’m not the only one who thinks this place is amazing.  Prices are good too.  Check out the Yelpers in the link below.
