So I’ve been hearing about this boy from the Southside of Chicago getting beat to death from many of my friends so I decided to find a news article to find out a little more.  Family members believe Derrion Albert was beaten on his way from school (Fenger High School) on Thursday for refusing to join a gang. But some witnesses say he was a bystander who was swept into a violent fight.

A vigil for Albert is planned outside the school Monday afternoon.

Meanwhile, police are investigating the beating, including video purportedly taken by a person at the scene.

The video, which shows several people beating and stomping a person believed to Albert, has been turned over to police. They say the video is being used to identify people at the scene.

I can’t believe someone did not come around to stop the fight.  From the video, it looks like there are a few adults standing around and cars driving by… like what the hell?!?  Someone could have helped Derion before he died, this is really a sad story and I really hope and pray this does not happen again ANYWHERE And WTF are wrong with these kids? To beat someone to DEATH? I mean for no good apparent reason. I swear they are going to get theirs, that’s all I have to say about those evil boys!
