Nicki Minaj’s “Massive Attack” Video TOO Sexy?

If Nicki Minaj’s twitter vent over the weekend is any indication of what’s to come, it may be too hot for TV. She writes:

How far would you go to stand up for your own creative expression? Is it ok to show drugs, violence & nudity in MOVIES and NOT MUSIC videos? aren’t they both creative interpretations? Is it ok for a slender model to wear a bikini but not ok for a curvy woman to wear a bikini on the same network? Wuts the more important question? *who makes the rules?* or *who follows them?*

So thrs sum1 sitting behind a desk that hand picks which woman’s body is 2 sexy to be seen on the network? wuts more influential in 2010? cable tv or internet? more often do u find urself watching ur new favorite video on cable TV or the internet?

You guys have been very helpful in my decision making process. thank u

From the looks of these pics, Nicki and Amber combined might be too much booty for the likes of MTV :-p I have a feeling this video is going to be wild!

Update: tweet sent from MTV

What to Expect from Ciara …

After keeping a tight lid on her new music, Ciara has revealed the first offering from her next album.

The lead single from the R&B star’s fourth album is called “Ride” and features Ludacris, Jive Records confirms to Rap-Up.com. The Tricky Stewart and Dream production hit the radio in the next few weeks.

Ciara’s as-yet-untitled LP, due this summer, was executive produced by the hitmaking duo.

“I did the whole album; it’s amazing. If you like Tricky and Dream, you’ll definitely like this,” Tricky told Rap-Up.com earlier this year.

The “Goodies” singer, has been recording in Los Angeles since last summer.

“This record obviously is gonna have tempo to it, but I think it’s gonna have even more substance than the last record,” Tricky added. “She dances and we always want to bring out what she does that other people don’t.”

Among the tracks that may make the cut are “Gifted” and “Speechless” featuring The-Dream

Kendra Bounces Back =)

Kendra, who gave birth in December, put her post-baby bod on display at Wet Republic at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV over the past weekend.

Hank Baskett and Holly Madison’s showed up too.

I’m so happy that she is comfortable in her own skin again. From watching the new episodes of Season 2 of “Kendra” she seemed very depressed about her post-baby body. Kendra is such a lovely girl. She’s fun, cute, down to earth … I wish her all the best.

Mya Looking ELLE-egant

Mya has been laying low regards to her music career, but she recently posed at an Elle Magazine event and looked amazing. Despite the rumors of Mya being linked with Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane, it seems she didn’t let that rumor get to her. Check out some images of Mya with her model swag in full effect, posing at a recent event held by Elle Magazine.

Soooo beautiful, I love her eyes and legs!

Do you think Mya will be able to make a comeback in music and gain her spot back in the R&B world?

*Spoiler Alert*: U.S. of Tara

”The United States of Tara” which airs 9:30 p.m. Monday, Showtime (four stars) has a new formula for Season Two.

For those of you who have never watched this show, you are totally missing out! It is definitely entertaining for anyone who has a family member that is battling an ongoing issue which affects everyone in the family.

A quick summary of the series …

  • Executive Produced by Steven Spielberg
  • Created by the Academy Award® winning writer of Juno,
  • Suburban wife and mother Tara Gregson (Emmy® Award winner Toni Collette) juggles her family and career while suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder — a condition formerly known as multiple personality disorder. It’s never a dull moment in the Gregson household, as Tara’s supportive husband Max and their two teenaged children, Kate and Marshall, try to lead as much of a “normal” life as possible.

I read an article in the Chicago Tribune this morning written by Maureen Ryan who actually watched the whole second season of U.S. of Tara. She states that “[the show] achieved a very satisfying synthesis” regarding Season Two. Below are some points she made about the second season and why it is better than Season 1.

  • Almost everything that didn’t work in Season 1 is gone
  • The tone is a lot lighter
  • Buck is BACK! (lol, one of my fave characters)
  •  In the first six episodes of Season 2, we don’t see wild child T at all and we barely see the repressed Alice (when she does briefly pop up, she does so to excellent comic effect)
  • The show has added a couple of characters: the gay neighbors and Shoshana Schoenbaum, the Tara’s newest alter
  • Shoshana arrives in the fourth episode of the season. She may be the most skilled conversationalist on the show, which is saying something, and the frisson of the discoveries she elicits from Tara gives this well-paced season an enjoyable sense of tension.
  • Tara’s son Marshall still gets the occasional over-the-top line, but actor Keir Gilchrist has such a winning, low-key way about him that you can’t help but hope that Marshall survives the challenges of having an unusual mom, being a teenager and having a lot of questions about his sexuality.
  • Tara’s daughter Kate (Brie Larson) gets an intriguing story line of her own; she meets an artist, Linda P. Frazier (Viola Davis), who widens Kate’s horizons and involves her in an amusing bit of online performance art.
  • John Corbett does his usual fine work as Tara’s supportive husband, Max, who ends up being less supportive the further he’s pushed.
  • The conversations are witty without seeming arch or forced
  • Tara deals with her alters in some intriguing new ways, but their arrivals and departures are much more low-key.

Stefani Joanne Germanotta

Also known as LADY GAGA.

Ms. Gaga recently did an interview in NY Entertainment titled “Growing Up Gaga” which talks about how she transformed into the Entertainer that she is today. Everyone has heard of Lady Gaga and knows at least TWO of her songs. I’m sure many people have been O.D.’ed with Gaga lately but I still think it is amazing how a fairly new artist, such as Lady Gaga, has come to take over the Pop Music world in such a short span of time. How does one do that?

If you would like to read the whole interview, click here.

I am a visual person so I love pictures. Below is a collection of pics from the article of Stefani before she was Lady. Check her out!
