Rihanna Opens up About Dating in Cosmo UK

Rihanna has revealed her dating secrets – and says the laws of attractions are just the same as those of the hunter and his prey – though she sees herself as a hunter too.

Talking in the new issue of Cosmopolitan UK magazine, she said: ‘I’m open to love. But guys should have to earn it. Because the minute they get it, they want something else.

‘Men are like hunters; they like the chase. So you have to keep ’em guessing. Actually, I’m like that too. I get bored quickly. So if someone can make me laugh, that’s the best.’

New Couple Alert: Kanye West & Melody Thornton

Sounds like Melody Thornton is the lucky woman. Earlier this year, there was speculation about Kanye hooking up with London Model Shay (w/ the double J’s) and getting friendly with Selita Banks, but sources have confirmed that these two below are actually dating and trying out a relationship.

Mr. West was spotted with former Pussycat Dolls singer holding hands at the Marc Jacobs women’s store in New York as part of the city’s Fashion’s Night Out event last week.

A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: “They have been dating for only about two weeks but things are going very well.”

Kanye — who split from model Amber Rose earlier this year — recently revealed he is ready to get married and have children and he will only date women he thinks he can commit to.

He said:

“My goal in life is to have an amazing woman and have a family, but I think I had to go through different things to grow. I’m not trying to dive into anything unless I really, really think that I can marry this person. I look at this person and I say, ‘This is how I want my daughter to be.’

“I like to really dive in and super-obsess and focus on something and make it as good as possible, so it’s like really focusing on my relationship or focusing on my family, but it has to be the right person to do that with.”

Rihanna Had Given Drake a Taste of His Own Medicine

The NY Times recently published an in-depth article about Drake, highlighting his rise from Jimmy Brooks of Degrassi High to being one of the “most innovative figures in Hip Hop”. The literature discusses Drake’s his short-lived relationship with Rihanna. He also reveals that he no longer feels safe in his hometown of Toronto after getting robbed at gunpoint last year. Here’s an excerpt:

And on “Fireworks” there’s a verse about Rihanna, who asked him last year to write a song for her new album; the two soon began seeing each other regularly, though they never publicly confirmed their brief relationship. I was a pawn,” Drake said. The song he wrote for her never got released. “You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I’ve done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear. I was like, wow, this feels terrible.”

I found out on Perez that Jamie Foxx and Stacey Dash are coupled up =)

Perez wrote,

Jamie spent the better part of the evening last night with a very sweet piece of arm candy – Stacey Dash!

The couple first enjoyed the Oscar ceremonies from inside the Kodak theatre and after the awards, they stopped by Elton John’s Oscar viewing party in Beverly Hills and then The Vanity Fair Oscar Party at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood!

I think they make a nice looking couple, what do you think?

Is the Activity on your Facebook Page an Accurate Reflection of your Social/Love Life?

After watching a recent episode of “Let’s talk about Pep” I started to put more thought into what Jacque said about Joel after she semi-cyber-stalked his Facebook page. Call me crazy, stalker, weird or whatever but I didn’t find anything wrong in what she did. Maybe she should not have brought it up to Joel in the way she did, making him feel like he was being interrogated on the First 48 – but I believe and support in thorough research. Especially if you are researching for something that holds great value to you.

The Run-down

For those of you who do not watch the show or did not catch episode 7, Jacque has gone on several dates with this man Joel who she has great chemistry with. They’ve been friends for a while but recently rekindled their connection by going on quality “get to know you better” dates. Joel revealed to Jacque early on that he was actually in jail for car theft, that he was in a dark place and has changed for the better now. Jacque was able to move past that. They are FRIENDS on FB and she checked out his page and saw that he was calling some woman a “Freak/Freak-a-Leek” and received multiple requests from women to come over his house so that he can cook.

So I was watching Tough Love on Vh1 over the weekend, the reality show where 8 women are in a boot camp, receiving matchmaker, Steve’s, help in order to reform into a self loving, self sufficient and confident woman ready to fall in love with the RIGHT guy. 1. He Calls/Texts At The Right Time

It’s good when a guy texts/calls any time, any day. If your call log is peppered with texts/calls between 12AM-4AM, you might just be a “booty call”.

I’ll try to see a girl as often as I can when I’m into her. Even though I’m a certified expert in the art of laziness, I overcome my desire to sleep or do nothing in those critical early moments of the relationship. My priorities change. 

3. You Pass The Distance Test

 If I’m into a girl, time away intensifies my desire to communicate and I anticipate seeing her again- and I definitely contact her while we are apart. If I’m not into her, she is easily dismissed from my thoughts when we are apart.

 4. You Stack Up Against The Things He Loves To Do

I never thought I’d see the day when guys in our Ravens football watching group would not only show up with a girl, but they’d also miss some of the game because of morning brunch. Yikes! But that’s exactly what one of my friends is doing now. I would struggle to sacrifice Ravens time, but when I’m into a girl she is on the same plane as the things I’m passionate about.

5. …And That He Has To Do

Some people love work, but I would be discouraged if someone worked instead of spending time with me in the first few weeks of a relationship. Even when work needs to be done, I’ll find a way to get it done and see the girl. When I’m not into her, I might use the work as an excuse to avoid her.

6. You See His Other Side

I’m a goofball and, yes, I like bathroom humor and human resource violations. People wonder how I’ll ever meet someone. They don’t understand that the right girl will see the other side of me: serious, behaved, deep, thoughtful, and respectful. When I’m into a girl I never say anything obnoxious in front of her…at least until I know she likes me. When I’m not into a girl, I’ll just act like an idiot with my friends- almost as if she isn’t there.

7. You Have Down Time Together

I imagine sun-drenched mornings lying in bed, making breakfast, enjoying “Saved by The Bell” episodes together, and other low-key moments. If I’m not into a girl, I’ll leave her place, or “encourage” her to leave my place instead of hanging out. But if I’m into her the time we spend just hanging out is the best.

One of my girls and I had this conversation recently about dating your friend’s ex.  I mean, is there a time period where you can wait after the break up before you pursue something with that person?  Or is it a 100% NEVER go for your friend’s ex, or even better, your ex’ friends.

What Women Want Men to do:

  1. Give sympathy, not solutions.
    If you could change just one thing, do this: When she talks to you about a problem she’s having, JUST LISTEN TO HER. DO NOT OFFER ADVICE! She just wants you to pay attention while she vents, and then she will FEEL BETTER! Just do it.
  2. Cuddle more.
    It’s no good if the only time you are affectionate is when you want sex. We need to hold hands, hug, kiss, etc. on a regular basis or we feel neglected.
  3. Be romantic.
    If you treat your wife or girlfriend like one of your buddies, she isn’t going to be very happy. She needs regular small gestures of love to remind her how lucky she is to be with you.
  4. ‘Make love,’ not just ‘have sex.’
    A woman needs to have an emotional connection with you in order to have great sex. If it’s just wham bam and all you care about is getting off, she isn’t going to be very happy.
  5. Be neater.
    Wives and girlfriends HATE, I repeat, HATE having to pick up after a man. It’s just common courtesy to do things like put your dirty clothes in a hamper instead of leaving them on the floor for her to trip over, or wash some dishes, or put things away.
  6. Be Good with Foreplay. If you consider 5 minutes enough time for a good roll in the hay, you can be sure she is unsatisfied. Unless she’s one of those (few) lucky women who can have a vaginal orgasm, she needs more time, and she needs you to be emotionally engaged with her. 
  7. Be emotionally open.
    A man who rarely or never shares his feelings is going to frustrate the woman he’s with. Not only is it healthier for you to open up and express a little emotion, sharing your feelings with her will make her feel closer to you, which will make her happy.
  8. Be able to have a conversation.
    If we can’t have a good conversation with you about things besides finances, kids, jobs, household concerns, etc. life is going to feel boring. Be willing to discuss things like movies, books, memories from childhood, your dreams, etc.
  9. Have passion.
    A man needs to feel passion for something in his life (besides the woman he loves!) or he will be dull, dull, dull. It could be his career, a hobby, or a volunteer pursuit, but life together is so much better if you are living up to your potential and making yourself happy by doing something you love.
  10. Be equal partners.
    It’s not enough to bring home a paycheck. Women need your emotional support, and they need you to be a co-parent, helping out every step of the way from changing diapers and midnight feeding (if you have kids) to equally dividing household chores. Say good-bye to your ideas of ‘womens’ work and be willing to help with everything.

When women get what they need and want from men, men win too because a happy woman means a happier home and quite possibly a better sex life!
